Every major pancreatic cyst guideline sorts lesions using a small set of features that radiologists can report routinely. For any incidental cyst, record its size and location, the main pancreatic duct diameter, whether the cyst communicates with the duct, and the presence or absence of an enhancing mural nodule or thickened enhancing wall. Compare with prior imaging and state any change in size. A report that includes these lets the clinician apply a guideline without re-imaging.
- Record cyst size and location in the pancreas.
- Measure and report the main pancreatic duct diameter.
- State whether an enhancing mural nodule or thickened wall is present or absent.
- Compare with prior imaging and give the interval change in size.
